Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes information processed through the Best PC Protection website. It covers browsing, contacting the editorial team and authorized administrative access. It does not cover antivirus vendors or other websites you visit through our links.
For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Information you provide
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you submit, together with a submission timestamp. Messages are stored so authorized staff can review and respond to them.
Emailing us also provides the information contained in your email. Please include only what is needed for your request. Do not send passwords, payment card details, private authentication codes or sensitive documents through the general contact channel.
The public website does not require a reader account to browse articles. Administrative accounts are separate and are intended for authorized staff.
Technical and security information
Our contact endpoint uses a request IP address for rate limiting and stores a hashed representation of that address with a successful submission. Hashing does not make all technical information anonymous. Hosting or network services may also process request details such as IP addresses, timestamps and requested URLs to deliver the site or investigate errors.
Administrative authentication processes account information and security-related session data. Passwords in the account database are stored as hashes rather than as readable passwords. These controls do not make a guarantee that no unauthorized access can ever occur.
How information is used
We use contact information to handle questions, corrections and other requests, maintain related correspondence and investigate reported problems. Technical information supports website operation, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
We do not use contact form messages to create advertising audiences or automatically enroll you in a marketing newsletter. We do not ask for payment information because purchases of reviewed products take place with their vendors or sellers.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site can use essential cookies for language preferences, authentication sessions and security controls. Administrative session cookies support authorized access; browsing public articles does not require an administrative login.
The current website implementation does not include an advertising pixel or third-party audience analytics integration. This statement concerns this website, not the practices of an external vendor after you follow a link.
You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect language preferences or administrative authentication. If additional tracking services are introduced, this policy should be updated to describe their use and any required choices.
Service providers and external links
Hosting, infrastructure and email providers may process information needed to operate the site or handle correspondence. Where Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on the contact form, it processes verification-related information to help distinguish legitimate requests from abuse.
Product links may take you to independent vendors or affiliate services. Those services may use their own cookies or referral parameters. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own policies. We do not receive your vendor account password or payment card details through our contact form.
Sharing and retention
Contact submissions are intended for authorized review rather than public publication. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to address a security incident, comply with a legal obligation or protect the rights of users and the site.
Correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request and related operational or legal needs. The contact database does not automatically delete messages after a fixed period. Backup copies and infrastructure logs may follow separate retention schedules. You may ask us to review or delete a contact submission, subject to legitimate retention requirements.
Your privacy choices
You may ask to access, correct or delete information you provided through our contact channels. Describe the request and provide enough context for us to locate the relevant message. We may need to verify that the request comes from the person concerned.
Rights and response obligations depend on applicable law. We do not require you to send sensitive identity documents through the general form as an initial step. Contact us if you need a different way to discuss a request.
Children and international access
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit a child's personal information through the contact form. If you believe such information has been submitted, contact us so it can be reviewed.
Depending on the services used to operate the site and communicate with you, information may be processed outside your location. Review the policies of independent services you choose to use.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when information practices or website services change. The effective date above identifies the current version. For questions about this policy or a privacy request, email [email protected].
